Networking

Servers

Servers are needed to process and share data within your organization and with others.  For many of our clients, having access to an in-house server, or one that is housed in a professional datacenter (collocated), is one of the most essential parts of their IT infrastructure. We routinely manage Exchange (email, calendar, contacts) and Windows servers, handling all aspects of server setup and maintenance.  We help set up Active Directory to control user and group permissions, allocate storage, and make sure everything is being backed up properly.

Not sure if you need a server? Many of our clients use Office 365 to handle their mail, calendar, and contacts. We can help with that too.

Firewalls, Routers, and Switches

Properly installing and configuring network devices such as routers, firewalls, and switches is critical to the stability and security of your network. We can even scan your network for vulnerabilities to ensure your current system is set up exactly as you expect.

Workstations & Laptops

Desktop and notebook PCs remain a foundational part of most of our clients’ information systems infrastructure. We help businesses and organizations select the right equipment, productivity and security software applications, and configuration settings to promote a fast, stable environment. Then, we take steps to maintain your system — performing routine maintenance and recommending upgrades that keep workstations running smoothly.

If there’s ever a problem, Twin State responds quickly to resolve it. Our Help Desk can remotely troubleshoot and fix a wide range of issues, getting you back to work as soon as possible. And if a site visit is required, your network engineer will already have a head start thanks to our remote monitoring service, so we can work on fixing the issue right away.

Mobile Devices

Smartphones and tablets increasingly make up more of our web traffic and tech budgets. We’re here to make sure they are properly set up to access your network, include the right security features (including encryption), and help your organization get work done in any context. We can even write custom mobile apps to enable your staff to do things that would otherwise require a desktop workstation.

If you have a bring your own device policy, Twin State will take steps to make sure your employees may smoothly transition as they upgrade their smartphones, tablets, and laptop computers. Or, we will help your organization select and purchase hardware that is right for your use cases.

Other Network Hardware

We will help select, purchase, and configure any device that touches your network to help you get work done. This includes printers, network attached storage, scanners, security cameras, and digital displays.
