After working at IBM for a decade, Beth established Twin State Technical Services in 1992. Her straightforward approach to technology focuses on building useful and welcoming technology. Today, the company has 60 engineers and programmers serving approximately 400 commercial and non-profit organizations.
As a technologist leader, Beth has a broad and deep knowledge of networking, programming, web development, branding, and strategy. She is often a guest speaker and resource to the regional community regarding information system trends and best practices.
Beth’s community involvement includes being on 5 Boards of Directors across the Quad Cities, including the Northwest Bank and Trust, the QC Chamber of Commerce, the Regional Development Authority, the YMCA of the Mississippi Valley, and Friendly House.
Beth and Twin State have been recognized for their achievements and dedication to technology. She was recognized in 2018 as one of the top ten women in technology in the state of Iowa, with Twin State then receiving the 2020 Business of the Year award from the QC Chamber of Commerce. In 2022, Twin State won the Best of Region award according to the QC Regional Business Journal for best IT Support Company and Website /App Developer.
An active CEO, Beth is also an adjunct educator at St. Ambrose University in the Computer Science Department. She is entering her 7th year teaching information systems and network administration to university students.
Beth earned her B.A. in Economics at Northwestern University and her MS in Information Technology Management (MS-ITM) at St. Ambrose University.
