Matthew Johnson

After joining Twin State in June 2019 as a Network Intern, Matthew quickly became a part of our Networking team as a full-time employee in July 2020. At Twin State, he works on our education team as a Network Engineer to support our school district customers. He provides technical expertise to enhance the educational experience for students and staff.

Additionally, Matthew works on our KnowBe4 team as the Phishing and Training Coordinator. He is our team’s main point of contact for our customers enrolled in the program. He organizes phishing and training campaigns as well as analyzes phishing results to provide proper remediation and improve email security awareness.

Matthew is a 2018 graduate of the Morrison Institute of Technology where he earned an Associate of Applied Science in Network Administration. He then continued his education at St. Ambrose University where he graduated with two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Network Administration and Cybersecurity in 2020. He is currently working on his Master’s in Information Technology Management which is also at St. Ambrose University. He is set to graduate in May 2023.

In his free time, Matthew enjoys jamming out to classic rock and playing the drums. He loves going to concerts, and so far, he has seen Foreigner, Whitesnake, The Who, Def Leppard, Motley Crue, Poison, and Dokken live. He also enjoys biking, weightlifting, playing video games, watching crime shows, and going skiing during the winter. He earned his Eagle Scout rank in 2015 as part of Troop 305 in Sterling, IL.
