Have you noticed on Facebook today that you see a lot of #dayofthegirl posts? Today encourages and celebrates the potential of every young woman to be a powerful voice in her community. Five years ago, the United Nations decided that October 11 would be known as the International Day of the Girl. According to the movement’s official website, its mission is “to help galvanize worldwide enthusiasm for goals to better girls’ lives, providing an opportunity for them to show leadership and reach their full potential.”
This is something Twin State understands and is on board with! Beth Tinsman, our Founder and CEO of Twin State Technical Services, followed her passions and did just that. For those of you who don’t know, Beth started our tech company out of her intelligence, perseverance, and strength. Not only is starting a successful business challenging, but also being a woman in tech is intimidating. Beth didn’t see these things as obstacles, but more as challenges. Here we are 25 years later, celebrating our accomplishments thanks to a brave young woman who went after her dreams and didn’t take no as an answer. We need more encouragement like that.
We couldn’t be more proud of Beth as a positive leader in our company and in our community. We encourage other women to follow their passion.
